Bestlife is a mobile and tablet application available for Android and iOS devices. The aim of Bestlife is to get kids aged 7-15 active and to improve their mental and physical health and wellbeing. It does this by encouraging them to complete physical activities and challenges in the real world to earn points in the app that they can then use to customise their avatar.
My primary role in the Bestlife team was to design the UI and assist with the UX. Secondary to this I also designed the app logo and created a product style guide. The main tools used for the design work and prototyping were Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. I was also involved with user research to ensure we created a product that was appropriate for the broad audience. The result is a product that has the look and feel of a fitness tracker app but with heavy gamification to increase engagement by making it more kid-friendly.
